Resumption of Rehearsals
27/08/2024 · fred · General
After a two-month summer break, the Les Garrigues Choir will resume rehearsals at the Chai du Domaine on Friday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m. A fixture on the region’s music scene since 1982, the choir welcomes all singers—beginners and experienced alike—to explore a varied repertoire ranging from classical and sacred music to traditional European polyphonic music and gospel. Vocal technique training is provided for all members during rehearsal hours. Thanks to its collaboration with a string ensemble, the program includes Pachelbel’s “Magnificat in D,” Caccini’s “Ave Maria,” and, this year, César Franck’s “Panis Angelicus” and Bach’s “Jesus, My Joy Remains.” The year promises to be full of musical events, including a series of Christmas concerts and a trip to the Basque Country as part of an exchange with a choir from Bayonne.
